描述: 大气消光是指天体通过地球大气层时大气层对光线的散射或吸收。大气气体允许可见光进入，对射电和一些红外光也是透明的，因此这些类型的地面望远镜被广泛使用。为了避免这种现象并观测其他波长的光，一些望远镜位于大气层之外。
