描述: 比邻星也被称为半人马座阿尔法C星，是距离太阳最近的恒星，距离为4.24光年（1.302秒差距），约40万亿公里。它是一颗红矮星，大小和质量都比太阳小，因此其太暗以至于肉眼无法观测到。截至目前，已确认比邻星有一颗行星围绕其运行，命名为比邻星b，其轨道位于恒星的所谓宜居带内。此外，还有两颗候选行星比邻星c和比邻星d，但尚未被确认。比邻星与半人马座阿尔法A星和半人马座阿尔法B星一起构成了半人马座阿尔法星系统，一个由三颗引力束缚的恒星组成的系统。
