Description: A acreção é o processo pelo qual um objeto astrofísico atrai matéria adicional, normalmente gás ou poeira, por meio de sua atração gravitacional. A acreção ocorre em contextos astronômicos diferentes, incluindo (mas não se limitando a): gás se acumulando em um buraco negro, estrelas em sistemas binários acumulando matéria de suas companheiras, estrelas jovens acumulando gás de um disco de material ao seu redor e galáxias acumulando estrelas de outras galáxias.
