On 19–20 June 2026, the Austrian NAEC team hosted our annual “Schools and Space” event at the Lakeside Science & Technology Park in Klagenfurt. The event brought together a large number of participants from schools, educational institutions, and the scientific community to explore the latest developments in astronomy, space science, and science education. The program featured presentations on topics such as Astropy, Moon Camp, Stellarium, ESA Sky, solar research, exoplanet science, and many other exciting areas of modern astronomy. A special highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by ESA Reserve Astronaut Carmen Possnig, who shared inspiring insights into her career, astronaut training, and the future of human space exploration. The Austrian NAEC team would like to thank all speakers, participants, and organizers for making these two days a great success and a celebration of science, education, and space exploration.
