Dr Salim Ansari

Salim Ansari obtained his PhD from Vienna University. As a Staff member, he worked for the European Space Agency for over 30 years. He held various positions, including Head of Communication and Education Services in the Directorate of Science, where he pioneered in Teachers Training activities and the promotion of Space Astronomy during his career. He was involved in the implementation of the Gaia mission during its early years. Ansari is retired and carries out research. His hobbies include Astrophotography.

Bettina Anderl is an astrophysicist, educator, and science education manager who blends research with a passion for inspiring curiosity about space. Fascinated by the night sky since childhood, she now brings the universe into classrooms.
After studying astrophysics, mathematics, and physics in Vienna, she transitioned from research to science communication. Since 2020, she has led ESERO Austria—the ESA’s education office—bridging space science and schools. Through teaching resources, workshops, and projects, she empowers educators to make STEM subjects engaging and accessible for students.
Her mission: To spark wonder and make science unforgettable.
