Glossary term: Zodiaco
Description: Lo Zodiaco è una striscia di cielo celeste, approssimativamente entro 8 gradi a nord e a sud della linea dell'eclittica. Il moto apparente del Sole nel corso di un anno e il movimento dei pianeti seguono questa striscia e attraversano 13 costellazioni: Ariete, Toro, Gemelli, Cancro, Leone, Vergine, Bilancia, Scorpione, Sagittario, Ofiuco, Capricorno, Acquario e Pesci. Per la maggior parte, le costellazioni rappresentano animali; il termine "zodiaco" deriva dal greco antico e significa cerchio (o ciclo) di piccoli animali.
