Description: L'eclittica è il grande cerchio sulla sfera celeste che si forma proiettando il piano dell'orbita della Terra intorno al Sole sulla sfera celeste. Di fatto, l'eclittica è il percorso apparente del Sole tra le stelle durante l'anno. Tutte le costellazioni dello Zodiaco si trovano lungo l'eclittica e otto pianeti principali si trovano relativamente vicini all'eclittica, osservati dalla Terra.
