The OAE organises its work into a series of working groups comprised of Center and Node staff. Below are brief descriptions of each of the working groups.

• astroEDU Working Group

  This supports the astroEDU platform working to solicit new submissions, support the review process and boost the dissemination of astroEDU activities.

• Authentic Astronomy Data Working Group

  This group is tasked with producing and publishing a review article that summarizes the key approaches and best-practice methods in astronomy education using authentic data.

• Centers and Nodes Working Group

  Supports the OAE in managing and coordinating cooperation between Centers/Nodes and main office.

• JEDI (Justice, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in astronomy education) Working Group

  This group works to support awareness within the design of educational resources and environments as welcoming and accessible as possible, within the framework of Universal Design fo Learning. This is pursued though the creation of a handy checklist grounded on existing best practices and experiences collected within the OAE international community.

• National Astronomy Education Coordinator (NAEC) Network & Community Building Working Group

  This working group oversees the NAEC network including managing applications and onboarding new members, maintaining communication across the network, fostering engagement among NAECs, and organizing regular meetings and initiatives that strengthen collaboration within the community.

• Organisational Support Team

  Responsible for supporting the OAE with administrative tasks such as preparation for the IAU-OAE Conference (formerly Shaw IAU Workshop) as well as post event support, processing NAEC applications, updating and maintaining the NAEC pages on the OAE website.

• Resources Working Group

  This group is responsible for managing translations of OAE materials into different languages and reviewing new resources to be added to the OAE's resource collection.

• Teacher Training Programme Working Group

  The Teacher Training Programme (TTP) working group supports the OAE's flagship initiative for teacher professional development and training.
