Dr. Pasi Nurmi is the head of Science Centre and LUMA-unit at the University of Turku (UTU). The Science Centre is currently running several science education projects in Finland and the unit acts as a link between the UTU and schools. Dr Nurmi has a background in astronomy with 87 science articles, and he has gained a good experience in science education and popularizing science. He is the ESON representative of ESO in Finland and National Outreach Coordinator (NOC) and National Astronomy Education Coordinator (NAEC) of IAU. He is also actively participating to different ERASMUS+-projects.
