This contribution describes three experiences that refer to activities developed as part of the research / action project "Between sky and earth", experimented together with girls and boys both during extra-curricular workshops and in the school context. Each “step” open a reflection about the learning that builds knowledge from experience, its possibilities and its meanings.
About Franco Lorenzoni
Franco Lorenzoni was an elementary teacher for 40 years. In 1980, he founded in Amelia, a village in Umbria, the Casa-laboratory of Cenci: a place of educational and artistic research that deals with ecological, scientific, intercultural, and inclusion issues. Active in the Movement of Educational Cooperation, he published several books, among others, “Con il cielo negli occhi”, “L’ospite bambino”, “I bambini pensano grande”, “I bambini ci guardano” and for children, “Orfeo, la ninfa Siringa e le percussioni pazze dei Coribanti” and “Quando gli animali andavano a piedi”. For his pedagogical commitment in 2021, he received two honorary degrees from the University Bicocca of Milan and from the University of Palermo.
