This presentation highlights the challenges of Astronomy Education in low-tech
environment and the efforts towards mitigating them. Public schools in Nigeria are almost
free, but mostly poorly funded and lacking in basic infrastructure such as internet,
electricity, etc. Astronomy is not taught at the elementary and Secondary school levels in
Nigeria as there is no curriculum for Astronomy at such levels.
