I graduated from Tartu University with a degree in physics in 1979. After that I work at Tartu Observatory as an engineer, researcher, senior researcher and senior engineer. My main research topic is related to massive stars, especially Wolf-Rayet type stars.

I am a former physics teacher who now manages the visitor centre at the Tartu Observatory. I started my professional career as a physics teacher in primary school, at the same time completing my bachelor's studies in physics.
